SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE NANCY PELOSI

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s position on what the super delegates should do and as she said, “they should not over turn the will of the people, meaning who has the most pledged delegates should be the Nominee!” Mrs. Pelosi’s hypocrisy is as glaring as Senator Obama’s “I did not know about Rev Wright’s incendiary messages! I was in Washington D.C. voting and I only got back tonight and saw it on the television.” This is exactly what Senator Obama said when the story exploded like a Volcano on March 14. Then on March 20th when he gave the speech on the topic of race, he admitted to knowing all the while.

I mention this to put all things in context. Senator Obama in my view is a good person, highly educated and an eloquent speaker, but Senator Obama who triumphed as the Politician that was not sucked in the sack by Washington, he turned out to be in some cases “just like them,” and in other cases, “worse than some of his colleagues.” He wants to have his cake and eat it too!

The same is with Mrs. Pelosi. She is Speaker of the House and as such she is viewed as the most “powerful woman in America!” Should Senator Clinton prevail and win the nomination and win the general election, Mrs. Pelosi would then be the second most powerful woman in America. I think that is where her mind is and if I am correct that is truly sinister. I have always wanted a woman or a minority to become President some day, but it is not important what I want but what is best for the country in these difficult times. I am certain that Mrs. Pelosi in her heart knows that Senator Clinton is unequivocally the most qualified between Senator Clinton and Senator Obama!

Mrs. Pelosi like other phantasmagoric Democrats is spouting that when it comes to Michigan and Florida, “we must follow the rules.” Well, if that be the case then the same should apply to the super delegates! A super delegate in accordance with the rules that were established in 1984, their vote is one of total independence. They are not obligated to follow the manner in which their State voted. A good example; Senators Kennedy and Kerry endorsed Senator Obama and with the Kennedy clan, John Kerry and the Governor of Massachusetts they went all out for Senator Obama. Positively shocking to them I am sure, is the fact that Senator Clinton won that State! Would Senators Kennedy and Kerry now turn and support Senator Clinton? Do not hold your breath!

GOVERNOR BILL RICHARDSON

Kin Hubbard was right when he said “Politics make strange Postmasters.” I watched during the 90’s how Mr. Bill Richardson climbed on the backs of President and Mrs. Clinton as he enhanced his Political ambitions. Now as Governor of New Mexico he could have done much for Senator Clinton in the Primaries in New Mexico and Texas. But as fate would have it, she did not need him because she won both States.

I do not want to be misunderstood so let me just make it clear that every one has a right to choose whom they want to support. But Governor Richardson stood by like a man who would not leave until the Cocktail Lounge is closed. His last drink was when he ended up with 1% of the vote. I wonder what he thought then. However, he waited around talking to both camps to see perhaps, just perhaps, what was the best deal he could get for his support.

Senator Clinton for all the despicable things that are permeated against her, she stands for what she believes. In 1993 and 1994 after her attempt to bring about National Insurance so no one would be without coverage was unsuccessful.  Both Senator Clinton and President Clinton had a major setback in what they were trying to do. But whether you like her or you don’t, she deserves credit for remaining loyal to what she believes is America’s morale obligation to its citizens and she continues the fight for Insurance coverage for all, especially those 45 million plus that are without coverage. Thus I see a person who despite seeing her failure in the past even though she was trying to do the right thing, she basically based her campaign on “coverage for all Americans.” To me that is conviction with courage. One can have conviction without courage but you can’t have courage without conviction, she is blessed with both.

I think if we remove the emotions out of the campaign we would have to be honest that Senator Obama cannot beat Senator McCain in the National election! If Senator Obama and his supporters think that the Clintons and their supporters are rough on him, he and those who are so emotionally involved should realize, “In the final analysis, the Republicans would take no hostages in keeping the White House.” They will swift boat him, Rev Wright and all with whom Senator Obama was and is associated with, and he will be torn to pieces. I know that Governor Richardson is cognizant of this fact, but his Political ambition to be President went out the door; he now rolls the dice on a long shot that Senator Obama would win the nomination and perhaps, just perhaps, he would be the V.P. Nominee. His point would be that he can bring the Hispanic vote.

SENATOR OBAMA

Senator Obama’s speech was without a doubt, eloquent! However, that aside he did not reach the offended American people and it is my humble opinion that he has lost his chance to do so, because the speech was “fundamentally dishonest.”

Senator Obama’s fame to political life was centered on the fact that he could cross all lines of the political and racial spectrum and he was a person who can unite rather than divide! But after calling on the American people to look at America not as blue or white states but the United States, his deficiency in judgment to be part of a congregation with a Pastor who does a disservice to Christ first and foremost, is no small blunder. Senator Obama over and over said to Senator Clinton that it is one thing to be ready on the first day but it is important to be right on the first day. It is evidently factual that his judgment was clouded for two decades plus.

Over time I saw him making that remark over and over again sighting that he was correct in his position against the Invasion of Iraq. However, Senator Obama was in the Illinois Legislature and not a sitting senator whose State was devastated by the 9/11 tragedy. Senator Obama is an educated person and the “authorization to go to war was supposed to be used first as an ultimatum and if there was no compliance, then war was the next step. I am certain that Senator Obama knows this fact!

I do not think that it is fair to blame any of the Senators who voted for the war or against the war, for in the final analysis it was the insipidity of President Bush to remove the United Nations Inspectors and follow Vice President Cheney’s advice in this pre-emptive strike that has now kept us in Iraq for five years. But we are where we are and Senator Obama’s continued repeated statements that he is the only one that can bring the war to an end and bring the troops home within a year that is also dishonest. In the same manner that we cannot separate California from the United States, in the like manner, whether for better or for worse, and I hope it is for the better, we will be in Iraq for a very long time.

I do believe that Senator Obama is a good person and a person who believes in God and thus I think Senator Obama’s prayer this day should be; “Lord may Your infinite wisdom cure me of the madness of self-confidence!” In doing so, Senator Obama may once again find that humility is our greatest strength and arrogance is our greatest destruction.
