ADIOS AMIGOS
Adios amigos, adios my friends
Life’s journey has come to an end,
In search of humanity I have traveled
But by this search I am bedeviled

Because of kindness some people give
But they want to tell you how to live,
Why can’t hearts be just honest and free?
Giving praise and thanks unto Thee

Disappointments, I have had my share
Many times, it was too much to bear
The maladies of life lead me to God
And now I am safe in the arms of my Lord

Adios compadres, what must be must be
Remember to say a prayer for me,
I cross the Rio with a heart that is rent
And there I will find rest, in God’s tent!

What ever we do in this life for others, we should do it out of free will, and do it with no strings attached. If we express kindness by our deeds with the expectancy from the one to whom you render kindness to, should be obligated to us; that is the worst form of “duplicity.” An act out of selflessness, never asks anything in return!
