DEMOCRACY VS. THE PATRIOTIC ACT

August 7, 2001, Wall Street Journal, the President received information
Of Al Qaeda going to hijack airplanes to strike the nation,
What was done with the information, 36 days before 9/11 devastation
Where were all the Noah's of this administration
Impulsive emotional actions all but charred the crippled democracy
The patriotic act is nothing short of hypocrisy,
Now they can monitor what you read in the library
How can they infringe on the sanctity of our liberty?

This oligarchy emptied the treasury that generations will have to pay
While protecting their friends, the Ebbers and the Lay,
Noble Prize economist George Akerlof made no apology
Stating, "This is the worst government in the US history"

"This is not normal policy" for promoting economic stability
"What we have here is a form of looting" by this ochlocracy,
Systematic manipulation of facts is the motto of this regime
Sincerity and honesty for them is just a piper's dream

Tax payers one billion per week for this Iraq war
Is just filling the pockets of the Haliburtons more and more,
When will the hemorrhaging of America's resources and credibility end?
Or would it be perpetuity, following the Bush's trend?
